Meet the new team at Coast Mountain Photography

11-12-2014

With the holiday season marching inevitably towards us, Coast Mountain is occupied with a numbers of tasks. Our top priority at the start of December is training new photographers and Gallery team members for the busy holiday season and all that follows through the winter.

Starting with 2 days of intensive classroom training in professional photography basics, sales training, and more, many staff members have remarked that they learn more from us in a short time than in all of their Photography School educational efforts.  Then a series of training days on mountain follows with our core of long term photographers leading the way.  Mentoring new staff regardless of their level of previous experience is critical to our consistent demand for high quality photography and positive guest experiences.

Meanwhile, the training also transpires at our Gallery in the Carleton Lodge, at the base of Whistler Mountain.  All of the best images in the world from on mountain sessions would be meaningless without a well-versed team serving our local and international guests.  Managing thousands of individual photo files where every order is truly custom requires an in-depth understanding of our POS system, technical photography concepts, and assessing exact customer needs.

This period of intense training also comes with an intense uptake of our popular portrait and event photography services in Whistler, Vancouver, and Victoria. With holiday season parties, receptions, and AGM’s culminating at the start of the winter season, we are pleased to report our busiest holiday season ever for Photobooths, Green Screen, group portraiture, and congress documentation.

Here’s wishing all of our friends and clients a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and all of the best in the coming New Year.  Thank you from Coast Mountain Photography.
