Ronald McDonald House BC Vancouver Invitational Golf Tournament 2017

Coast Mountain Photography proudly photographed the RMHBC annual Golf Tournament again this year.

Ronald McDonald House Charities has a long history with Coast Mountain Photography as their photographer supplier of choice for their major Ski Challenge Fundraiser.  As their event organizer expands the scope and professional execution of their other events, Coast became part of the event execution plan now in its second year.

Last week, a Coast photo team of 2 were dispatched to capture participants group photography and golf tournament action, sponsors, hole activations, and more at Northview Golf and Country Club in Surrey.

After capturing all 217 golfers(!), Coast provided a fast turn rush edit slide show in time for Apres golf, and continued coverage of the key dinner and fundraising auctions that ensued.  This year the weather was nothing short of stellar, and the sun made up for July-uary conditions at last year’s event.

Hosted by RMH BC’s Global TV sports anchor Jay Janower plus a guest golfer appearance by Steve Darling, guests heard moving stories of parents deeply affected by cancer of their own children and why supporting this charity is so very important.  It’s not always what happens to other families one speaker noted, dinner sponsor and someone with direct experience Duncan Robinson of Wimbledon Financial.  A total of $125,000 was raised over the evening, and topped off by another incredible amount of $530,000 provided by McDonalds owner/operators from across Canada from Happy Meal proceeds donation days.  All in all it was an incredible day of generosity, fun, and the camaraderie one can expect from a high class charity fundraising event.

As a local owned and operated small business, Coast Mountain Photography is proud of its support for various charities that do great work.  Certainly the challenge of caring for terminally ill kids and their families is an incredible undertaking a charity worthy of all of our support.  For more information on donating to RMH BC, please consider visit their website donations page at  To find out how we can support special events and fundraisers fro your organization, please contact us for more information at This email address is being protected from spambots.
